I have been induced to read this novel by its interesting topic: 'There are Peeping eyes next doors'. Such a topic usually arouses human nature's weakness - a strong sense of curiosity to explore the unknown, either by peeping, hidden cameras and spy measures.
But in reading the whole chapter, I do not find any implicatons of such a sense of mystery. Most probably I have come to only one chapter of the whole novel which have already covered the theme of peeping.
The style of writing is quite interesting. Quite unlike the other novelists, this writer has used a diary form of writing. Even though there are no mentioning of dates and years, there are lots of indications of time, for example, there is a mentioning of time on top of a change of plot. Whether the readers like such a style or not is arguable. Personally, I am not used to this sort of writing. Just for one reason, we are eager to rush on to know the development of the story but will be checked and stopped for a while when we see such a mentioning of time. This will directly disturb the flow of the feeling of reading a novel, especially an exciting and explicit adult story.
The language used in this novel is very appropriately used. At the very beginning of this chapter, we are introduced to know two young men are breaking in to steal something. The foul language used by them immediately show that they belong to the low class in society. They are not educated and are having a life of committing some sort black evils.
The main male character, however, seems have some sort of education. This is reflected by the conversations of the two young men. When they fail to understand the poem, they think they will get the answer from this main character.
While we are prepared to read a novel with lots of foul language, suddenly we are given a very beautiful quotation of a very sad poem: A benige past of beauties and youth. Such a theme of the poem is once again reflected by the main character when he sees the bared naked body of the mature but a bit old woman whose breasts are not as firm as the young girls, her belly swell and she has lost her freshness of what a young woman should have possessed.
The characterization of this story is quite successful. At least we are given a clear picture of the main character. He is an evil who likes to sexually abuse the female sex. Even in making love with the mature woman, he carries out the sex acts without any real feelings. While the woman is giving him a mouth masterbation, his focus is not only the enjoyment of such a sex act, but on the enjoying of the photo album in which there are photos of the woman's young and pretty daughter.
The descriptions of the sex acts fall more or less the same track of most of the adult writings - a similar pattern of a male making the female as his sex slave, torturing her with lots of abnormal sex acts such as SM, anus insertion and ceaselessly love making. Perhaps most of the readers have been spoiled by so many adult stories which have flooded in the websites, such descriptions of sex acts will no long arouse very strong sex response of the readers. What they want to expect are those descriptions of the physical, mental and psychological responses in love making, whether the sex acts are in normal or abnormal ways. Besides, they expect to read some more detailed descriptions of the sex organs of the female bodies and the inward responses to the insertions of the male organs.
Unfortunately we are not given such detailed descriptions in this chapter. Perhaps there are such detailed descriptions in the other chapters which are one of the factors that will make the whole novel more readable and popular.
Above, the writer has successfully created a male character with evilish like sex taste who likes to carry out any sort abusing sex acts he can imagine. Perhaps such writings will meet the tastes of some readers who have lost interests in normal sex acts.
